08/04/2016 (Agence Europe) -Italy and Greece vote against Tunisian olive oil. In a vote at the EU management committee on Thursday 31 March, Italy and Greece voted against the regulation providing an extra EU import quota from 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2017 of 35,000 tonnes of olive oil from Tunisia (see EUROPE 11509). Spain, Cyprus and Portugal abstained. This quota comes on top of the 56,700 tonnes under the 1995 Association Agreement. (LC)
