16/03/2016 (Agence Europe) - EP committee gives go-ahead to minimum 15% VAT until 2018. On Wednesday 15 March, the European Parliament's economic and monetary affairs committee approved by 41 to 5 an extension until the end of 2018 of a minimum VAT rate of 15% (see EUROPE 11506) and not until the end of 2017, as advocated by the Commission.
