29/02/2016 (Agence Europe) - EU condemns latest Al-Shabaab attack in Mogadishu. On Saturday 27 February, the European Union condemned the attacks carried out on Friday evening against a hotel in Mogadishu, responsibility for which was claimed by the terrorist group Al-Shabaab. “Once again civilians have been targeted”, regretted the spokesperson for EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini. The European Union extends its condolences to the families and friends of the victims. Reiterating its full support to Somalia, the EU “calls on the Somali authorities, the forces of the African Union mission AMISOM and all members of the international community to unite and intensify their efforts to rid the country of terrorism”.
