29/02/2016 (Agence Europe) - Emoluments of high-level EU public post holders. As announced (see EUROPE 11498), the Council of the EU adopted a regulation, without debate, on Monday 29 February setting the emoluments of high-level EU officials. Austria voted against and the UK delegation abstained. The salaries for high-level posts remain unchanged. Changes include a reduction in reimbursement of removal expenses and restricting to two years the length of time that former officials can be eligible for the annual transitional allowance. (LC)
