29/02/2016 (Agence Europe) - Acclaim for European Consumer Centre Belgium. The Belgian ECC is very highly rated by consumers, according to a customer satisfaction survey the results of which were published on Monday 29 February. 84% of consumers surveyed in Belgium praise the ECC for its accessibility and availability; 80% say they are satisfied with how the ECC handled their case; 81% say it responded to their complaint quickly and 97% would recommend the ECC to other consumers. Since 15 February, the ECC has been the point of contact in Belgium of the online platform helping consumers to resolve disputes over online purchases without having to go to court (see EUROPE 11490 and 11464). The survey was conducted by the ECC Belgium between 30 October 2015 and 17 February 2016. Of the 438 consumers who took part, 104 had previously made a complaint or submitted a question. (AN)
