The European Union and China signed a first justice and home affairs agreement on Monday 29 February removing the need for short-stay visas (up to 90 days in any 180-day period) for Chinese diplomats when visiting the EU or, similarly, for member states' diplomats travelling to China. The agreement will not apply to the United Kingdom or Ireland. (MB)
