The European Commission announced on Tuesday 9 February that it had approved the addition of two new products to the Community register of protected geographical indications (PGIs). Both from Italy, they are Cappellacci di zucca ferraresi, fresh stuffed pasta produced in the Ferrare province, and Mortadella di Prato, a fine mixture of pigmeat, sea salt, garlic, spices and alchermes, produced in the Province of Pistoia.
