Stakeholders will now have until 25 February to submit their comments in the sustainability impact assessment (SIA) on the proposed investment protection agreement between the EU and Burma/Myanmar (questionnaire available at http://goo.gl/W4gMme ). The EU-Burma agreement seeks to protect investors from both parties and ensure they are treated fairly, to protect them against discrimination and expropriation without compensation and to guarantee the transfer of capital (see EUROPE 11254).
