During the evening of Wednesday 9 November, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini announced the appointment of Patricia Llombart Cussac as the new Director for Security, Infrastructure, Budget and Information Technology. Llombart Cussac has until now headed the European External Action Service (EEAS) division in charge of selection and recruitment at the Human Resources Department. She will take up her new post on 16 December. Gerhard Conrad will become the new Director for the Intelligence and Situation Centre at the EEAS in early 2016. He has previously held posts of high responsibility in the German Federal Intelligence Service. (CG)
