03/12/2015 (Agence Europe) - Mimica in Côte d'Ivoire to sign two projects. International Cooperation and Development Commissioner Neven Mimica will be on an official visit to Côte d'Ivoire on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 December. He will sign a funding agreement totalling €111.7 million for two cooperation projects, one in the energy sector and the other in rural development. The first project, jointly financed by the European Investment Bank to the tune of €117 million, seeks to provide a high quality electricity service at affordable prices. The second project is to identify and register farms to prevent disputes over land ownership in rural areas. The two projects will be financed under the 11th European development fund (EDF), a financial instrument of cooperation between the EU and the ACP countries. (AN)
