04/11/2015 (Agence Europe) - EU envoy in Bogota week of 9 November. Eamon Gilmore, from Ireland, who was recently appointed as EU envoy for the peace process in Colombia, will travel there for work during the week of 9 November (see EUROPE 11396 and 11403). “Gilmore will convey the political support of the EU for the peace process, especially in the implementation phase (…) The EU and member states must present a coherent and well-coordinated response to this historic occasion”, said High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini at the end of a meeting with Gilmore on Tuesday 4 November. Gilmore will mostly carry out his new envoy role from Dublin. (MB)
