On Wednesday 30 September, the European Commission announced the addition of a new (Croatian) product to the register of protected geographical indications (PGI). This is the Licki krumpir potato (of the Desiree, Bintje or Victoria varieties) grown in the geographical area of Lika, a continental region in south-western Croatia. (LC)
