Brussels, 29/09/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 28 September, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini affirmed that “two months after signature, the implementation of the agreement (on the Iranian nuclear programme) was going perfectly well”.
Asked by press about the issue of the E3+3 ministerial meeting (France, Germany, UK and China, Russia, USA) with Iran, Mogherini stated that everyone was fully committed to implementing the agreement that was concluded in July 2015 (see EUROPE 11359). “I'm confident that the agreement will be implemented fully and swiftly” she said.
The agreement is expected to be ratified officially on 19 October, once all the parliamentary procedures are over. While the US Congress has already given its agreement, it still remains for the Iranian Parliament to do this. The agreement is due to be implemented officially at the start of 2016.
