Brussels, 28/09/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 28 September, the vice-president of the European Investment Bank (EIB), Roman Escolano, started a three-day visit to Morocco - his first official visit since taking up his mandate. During his visit he is expected to sign a financing agreement for projects related to water distribution. Morocco's national office for electricity and water (ONEE) will be the recipient of the financing - the objective of which is to improve and optimise infrastructure for the production, distribution and sanitation of water throughout Morocco, an EIB press release states.
The EIB says in its press release that it is “one of Morocco's main financial backers” in “key sectors” such as “energy, transport, water and sanitation, education, health, social housing, industry, SMEs and innovation”. (Original version in French by Fathi B'Chir)
