10/09/2015 (Agence Europe) - Vangelis Vitalis from New Zealand is new chair of WTO's agricultural negotiations committee. On Tuesday 8 September, New Zealand's new ambassador to the WTO in Geneva, Vangelis Vitalis - who has been in the post since July and who was his country's ambassador to the EU in Brussels from 2011-2015 - was appointed chair of the agricultural negotiations committee at the WTO. Vitalis is the ninth person to head the committee since the launch of the Doha round in 2001. He succeeds four of his compatriots in the post - Tim Groser (2003-2005), Crawford Falconer (2005-2009), David Walker (2009-2011) and John Adank (2011-2015). (EH)
