Brussels, 22/05/2015 (Agence Europe) - On 20 May, the European Parliament voted on a resolution which “objects” to the delegated regulation of the European Commission removing the obligation to establish and publish a community supply balance for ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin, provide national information on a quarterly basis on production, run-off and stocks and present a certificate for import into the Union (see EUROPE 11316).
The professional organisations and EU bioethanol producers (ePure) are opposed to the scrapping of the regime.
For its part, the Council decided on 20 April not to object to the draft delegated act, against the opinion of several member states. (Lionel Changeur)
