Brussels, 15/04/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, 14 April 2015, leaders from the home appliance industry in Europe launched a call to action to the European institutions. Amongst other things, they want greater emphasis to be laid on improving regulation, advancing sustainable lifestyles and making the connected home a reality. “We hope our call to action can act as a catalyst for an ongoing dialogue with the European Commission, the European Parliament and other stakeholders”, commented Reinhard Zinkann, the CEO of Miele. He pointed out that the home appliance market represents 1 million jobs and contributes €53.3 billion to EU GDP. (Jean Comte)
