Brussels, 05/03/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 4 March, Martin Burkert, the president of the Bundestag transport committee, summed up his meeting with Violeta Bulc, to EUROPE. It should be pointed out that Burkert and 21 other members of this committee met the commissioner on Wednesday 4 March (see EUROPE 11267)
According to Burkert, the meeting provided an opportunity for tackling a number of questions, including the application of the German minimum wage to road haulage workers travelling in the country and the motorway toll on foreign drivers. With regard to the first question, the commissioner said that she was waiting for her services to examine the clarifications sent by the German government (see EUROPE 11266). On the second, she kept a “low profile”, according to another participant at the meeting, and said that she would wait for the law to be effectively adopted. (Jean Comte)
