Shape of Rubik's cube confirmed as Community trade mark

Brussels, 26/11/2014 (Agence Europe) - The General Court of the EU has confirmed that the shape of the famous Rubik's cube could be registered as a three-dimensional Community trademark.

In its ruling of Tuesday 25 November (case T-450/09), the Court dismissed the action by German toy manufacturer Simba Toys seeking cancellation of the EU's Trademark Office (OHIM) decision to register the trademark.
