Brussels, 24/11/2014 (Agence Europe) - On Sunday 23 November, the European Union condemned in the strongest terms the attack carried out by armed men on a bus in Kenya the previous day. The attack has been claimed by Al Shabab.
“The killing of 28 civilians in cold blood by Al Shabab at Mandera in Northern Kenya is a terrorist act which cannot stay unpunished. [The] Perpetrators must be brought to justice” says a press statement published by the spokesperson for High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.
Offering its condolences to the families of the victims, the EU gives assurances that it “will work with the Kenyan government and Kenyan citizens to remove this threat from their country”. (AN)
