Brussels, 05/11/2014 (Agence Europe) - The European news channel Euronews signed a partnership agreement, on 3 November, with SportAccord, which brings together 92 international sports associations, to establish a new sports programme. The partnership will revolutionise global news coverage of sports, say the partners. Under the agreement, Euronews will run a weekly sports programme, Sport United, from January 2015 as well as several special magazine programmes which focus on specific sports. These programmes, available in 13 languages just like all Euronews coverage, will be broadcast to over 420 million households in 156 countries and on digital media platforms. (IL)
