Brussels, 14/10/2014 (Agence Europe) - On Saturday 11 October, the European Commission announced the adoption of a dual programme for Algeria. These programmes will provide support to the justice (€9 million), media (€7.3 million) and training-employment-qualifications adaptation (€10 million) fields.
Stefan Füle, the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy, said, “these three opportunities for close cooperation illustrate the solid and dynamic partnership between Algeria and the EU. We hope to be able to further deepen this in the future”. He asserted that these programmes, “which have been jointly prepared, seek to provide support to the efforts agreed by Algeria to modernise the legal system, promote public debate and adapt vocational and university training to the needs of the labour market”.
