Brussels, 14/10/2014 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 13 October, the European Union expressed its concerns about the rapid deterioration in the situation in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic, which was the scene of murderous violence last week. In a press release, the spokesperson for the European External Action Service (EEAS) stressed, “ We strongly condemn the violence against civilians, humanitarian partners working in the CAR and the international forces that have been attacked. The instigators and perpetrators of this violence must be brought to justice”. The EU urges the armed groups to respect the agreement they have signed on ceasing hostilities in Brazzaville. (AN)
