The four competent parliamentary committees (legal affairs, Civil Liberties, justice and home affairs, internal market, women's rights) at the EP gave their approval on Tuesday 7 October for the nomination of Vera Jourova for the justice, consumers and gender equality portfolio, on the condition that the Czech politician puts the commitments she made during her hearing into practice (EUROPE 11167).
