Inflation falls in 5 EU countries in June, 3 of them in eurozone

Brussels, 17/07/2014 (Agence Europe) - Annual inflation in the eurozone stood at 0.5% in June, the same as in May, according to final figures released by the EU's statistical office, Eurostat, on Thursday 17 July (see EUROPE 11111).

Inflation in the EU28 stood at 0.7% in June, compared with 0.6% in May. Five member states recorded falling inflation: Bulgaria (where prices fell by 1.5%), Greece (-1.5%), Portugal (-0.2%), Hungary (-0.1%) and Slovakia (-0.1%). Inflation stood at zero in...
