Brussels, 25/06/2014 (Agence Europe) - An app setting out the different road safety rules in EU countries has been developed by the European Commission. The “going abroad” app can be downloaded on Android and Apple smart phones and tablets and contains the main rules on speed, alcohol limits, traffic lights, use of mobile phones, wearing of safety belts in cars and helmets on bicycles and motorbikes. This list is at your fingertips and is particularly useful in the summer season when there is more traffic on the European roads, said European Commissioner for Transport Siim Kallas, who added: “It is so easy to take your car abroad, but many people don't realise that rules and road signs differ across the EU”.
