SECTORAL POLICIES / (ae) corrigendum

25/06/2014 (Agence Europe) - In the article BEREC says landline voice telephony should remain regulated in EUROPE 11104, please note that the article should have said: The Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) supports the European Commission's general approach in its draft review of the recommendation on the markets it covers, published on 24 January. Nonetheless, it does recommend that landline voice telephony markets should not be included in the list of markets that no longer have to be subject to ex ante legislation, as proposed by the Commission, because it believes that these markets are not developed enough for deregulation. This opinion is supported by the European Competitive Telecommunications Association (ECTA), which is lobbying for limited changes in the list of appropriate telecommunications markets before they are subject to ex ante regulation (see EUROPE 11017).
