Brussels, 06/05/2014 (Agence Europe) -The Internet Society will hold a seminar (“INET Istanbul”), in Istanbul on 28 May, on digital content in a globalised world. The Internet Society seeks to promote and coordinate the development of information technology networks in the world. Experts will discuss a number of themes, including the sensitive issue of protecting privacy and personal data, which are threatened by huge government surveillance programmes. They will also examine the difficult balancing act between respect for intellectual property and innovation. (IL)
