EU looking for its best young technology companies

Brussels, 17/04/2014 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is looking for Europe's best start-ups in this year's Tech All Stars competition. The winning companies will have exclusive access to Europe's most prestigious start-up events and will pitch their projects to entrepreneurs such as Richard Branson, Chad Hurley and Niklas Zennström. The competition is open to EU-registered start-ups less than three years old, which have raised less than €1 million in external funding. Applications are open until 22 May 2014. European Commissioner for the Digital Agenda Neelie Kroes said: “part of businesses' success is making the right connections and the European Commission can help open doors. Finalists will get connected to EU funding sources, successful entrepreneurs and other influential people. (LC)
