European parliament approves ban on fluorinated gases

Brussels, 13/03/2014 (Agence Europe) - The use of climate-unfriendly fluorinated gases should be banned in new air-conditioning appliances and refrigerators by 2022-2025, under draft rules approved by the European Parliament on Wednesday 12 March (see EUROPE 11009 on the European Parliament's environment committee ban confirmed during the plenary).
