Bill Gates is richest man in the world. The ranks of the world's billionaires continue to scale new heights, according to the US Forbes magazine. The magazine found 1,645 billionaires, a 15.3% increase on last year's figures and a record since the Richest People On The Planet survey began in 1987. Together, they account for an aggregate net worth of $6.4 trillion, up from $5.4 trillion a year ago. The US once again leads the world with 492 billionaires on its territory, followed by China with 152 and Russia with 111. Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft is back in first place in the 2014 survey, with an estimated fortune of $76 billion ($9 billion more than last year), followed by Carlos Slim from Mexico ($72 billion), who was in first place for the past four years.
