11/02/2014 (Agence Europe) - Lautenschläger appointed vice-chair of bank supervisory board. On Tuesday 11 February, the Council of Ministers formally endorsed the appointment to the ECB's supervisory board of Sabine Lautenschläger. The ECB will directly supervise the eurozone's 130 biggest banks from November 2014 onwards (see EUROPE 11012) and is setting up a supervisory board to separate bank supervision from monetary affairs at the ECB.
