20/01/2014 (Agence Europe) - Mergers: TF1-Sodexo/STS Evènements. On 17 January, the European Commission endorsed the acquisition of joint control by French broadcasting company TF1 (TF1 Entreprises SAS, a subsidiary of Bouygues) and French company Sodexo Etinbis SAS, a subsidiary of French company Sodexo (staff incentives and services company) of French company STS Evènements SAS, which will have exclusive rights over running the new Cité Musicale de l'Ile Seguin in the Paris region. The Commission says that the deal will not negatively affect competition because of the absence of overlaps among the parent companies and STS Evènements, not to mention the low market share of the parent companies in the area where STS Evènements will operate. The deal was notified on 9 December and examined using the simplified merger control procedure. (FG/transl.fl)
