Brussels, 17/12/2013 (Agence Europe) - Organisations from the culture and creative industries seeking funding in 2014 through the new “Creative Europe” programme can now begin preparing their subsidy requests. In an effort to help them prepare their cases, the European Commission published a guide last week on the new programme, which will provide them with detailed information on funding opportunities (“calls for proposals”) and the procedure that should be followed. Around €170 million will be available in the first calls for proposals in the 2014 programme. Natural persons are unable to make direct requests for subsidies, which have to be addressed through ad hoc organisations such as cultural associations, festivals, theatres, and film distributors etc. or their national Creative Europe office to present their candidacies.
