Brussels, 09/10/2013 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on Wednesday 9 October, MEPs rejected a resolution from the Parliament's food safety committee opposing the proposals from the Commission to reform health check procedures in abattoirs. The Parliament thus paves the way for the adoption of texts which will allow pork to be declared fit for human consumption after a simple visual check by official abattoir vets, without systematic incision or palpation.
