Brussels, 20/09/2013 (Agence Europe) - The long-awaited and final 5th report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), chaired by Rajendra Pachauri, will be published in January 2014, but a first proposal of recommendations to the attention of policy-makers will be published in Stockholm on 27 September. The final draft of the summary for policy-makers will be the result of a session of the working group convened in the Swedish capital on 23 to 26 September to finalise its contribution to the final report.
The working group focuses on the report entitled “Climate Change 2013 - The Physical Science Basis”, and its work will be presented in Brussels on 4 November by the European Commission, the IPCC and the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) attended, notably, by Pachauri and Connie Hedegaard, European Commissioner for Climate Action.
