22/03/2013 (Agence Europe) - Italian MEP Salvatore Iacolino (EPP) is calling for a review “if necessary” of the EU-Morocco trade agreement on agri-food so as to protect similar Italian products - particularly from Sicily, ANSA reports. ANSA quotes a question put by Iacolino to the European Commission and European Council which calls for “prudence” in the negotiations with Morocco - a country where, Iacolino points out, production costs are low.
