On Friday 15 February, the European Commission gave clearance to the acquisition of joint control of Enerjisa Enerji A.S. of Turkey by E.ON SE of Germany and Haci Ömer Sabanci Holding A.S., also of Turkey. E.ON's activities cover all levels of the supply chain in the fields of electricity and gas around the world. Haci Ömer Sabanci Holding is mainly active in the banking and insurance sector, but also in the fields of cement, food, electronics retail and industrials, mostly in Turkey. Enerjisa is active in the fields of electricity, gas, steam and metering of electricity, mainly in Turkey. (OL/transl.fl)
