Cartels remain illegal even if victim company is itself acting illegally

Brussels, 07/02/2013 (Agence Europe) - An agreement intended to exclude a competitor is contrary to the competition rules even if the competitor is operating unlawfully on the market. EU competition rules aim to protect competitors, but also the market and competition itself.
