25/01/2013 (Agence Europe) - EU condemns attacks. On 25 January, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton condemned “in the strongest terms” the spate of terrorist attacks in Iraq, which have killed dozens of people and wounded hundreds of others, announced Ashton's spokesperson in a press release. “The high representative is appalled by the bombing of a funeral at a mosque in Tuz Khurmatu, in the disputed territories”, he added - a suicide attack that has reportedly left 42 dead and 75 wounded. Ashton again called on the government and all Iraqi political leaders to engage in an “inclusive and genuine dialogue”. (CG/transl.fl)
