Brussels, 25/01/2013 (Agence Europe) - Small-scale innovation for a wide-scale programme - on Thursday 24 January 2013, the European Commission announced the creation of a body of experts for its new framework-programme on research and innovation, “Horizon 2020”. From the spring of 2013 onwards, advisory groups of indepedent experts will examine preparations for calls for tender for projects to be financed by the EU from 2014 to 2020.
Experts have until 6 March 2013 to apply to the European Commission to join the first group of advisers, whether they be individuals or organisational representatives. EU Research, Innovation and Science Commissioner Máire Geoghegan-Quinn said: “Our aim is to reach the broadest range of experts who will help us to deliver innovative ideas, sustainable growth and new jobs. Introducing this transparent and inclusive call for Horizon 2020 means we are reaching out to the entire European research and innovation community”. (JK/transl.fl)
