On 25 January 2013, the European Commission cleared the acquisition of S-Y Systems Technology Europe GmbH (“S-YST”), of Germany, by Yazaki Europe Limited (“YEL”), of the UK. YEL and S-YST are active in the development and sale of automotive electrical distribution systems (wiring harnesses). The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
