14/09/2012 (Agence Europe) - Campaign to recruit Croatians to work in the EU institutions kicks off. As Croatia prepares to become the 28th EU Member State on 1 July 2013, the first targeted recruitment campaign to find qualified Croatian nationals was launched on Thursday 13 September 2012 by the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) in the form of a competition for recent graduates to fill a range of positions within the EU institutions, including public administration, law, audit, economics and finance roles (AD5 “administrators”). A competition launched earlier this year to prepare for enlargement was aimed at any EU national who speaks Croatian. The campaign launched on 13 September, however, is the first only open to Croatian passport-holders. In total 124 successful candidates are being sought across the EU institutions. The European Commission has set itself the target of recruiting up to 249 Croatian nationals at various grades over a five-year transition period. (LC/transl.fl)
