Brussels, 13/09/2012 (Agence Europe) - The annual meeting of FEMIP (Facility for Euro-Mediterranean Investment and Partnership) will take place in Nicosia (Cyprus) on Friday 14 September under the presidency of the Cypriot minister for the economy, Vassos Shiarly, and the president of the EIB, Werner Hoyer. The ministers for economy and finance from the Euro-Mediterranean area, who form FEMIP's board of directors, will hold an informal meeting. This list of participants has not yet been released, but Turkey has expressed reservation as to the location of the meeting.
During the FEMIP meeting, the ministers will adopt the 2011 action plan and the work programme for the next 12 months. The former Spanish minister for foreign affairs, Miguel Angel Moratinos, has been invited to deliver a speech on “technology transfer”. (FB/transl.fl)
