Brussels, 10/05/2012 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 10 May the head of the Social Democrat Group at the European Parliament, Hannes Swoboda of Austria, called for new EU rules to force member states to invest. He said he wanted investment pledges to be honoured and after all, the member states are being told to cut their deficits and cut pay so why not tell them they have to invest? The S&D is calling for legislation to this end, he added.
