Cecilia Malmström tweets congratulation to Obama on gay marriage issue

Brussels, 10/05/2012 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 10 May EU Home Affairs Commissioner Cecilia Malmström tweeted congratulations to American President Barack Obama for his public support for gay marriage - the first US president to do so. The commissioner welcomed his strong leadership and said that same-sex marriages should be possible in the EU too, but this rests in the hands of the member states.
