You-Q may not use the word “Beatle” in a trademark

Brussels, 30/03/2012 (Agence Europe) - In Case T-369/10 on 29 March, the EU General Court confirmed the rejection in 2010 by the European Office for Harmonisation of EU Trademarks (OHIM) of a request lodged in 2004 by Handcare Holding BV (later renamed You-Q BV) for registration of a figurative sign composed of the word “BEATLE” as an EU trademark for electric mobility aids for persons with reduced mobility.
