Parliament adopts compromise on radio spectrum

Brussels, 15/02/2012 (Agence Europe) - On 15 February, in plenary session in Strasbourg, the European Parliament approved a compromise text on how best to reallocate radio spectrum frequencies. The objective is to ensure an effective distribution of radio frequencies freed up by the switch from analogue to digital TV to new uses, such as wireless broadband services. “The first EU policy on radio spectrum will enable the EU to regain world leadership in wireless communication”, said...
