Brussels, 10/01/2012 (Agence Europe) - Chile has suggested holding the next summit between the European Union and Latin America in early 2013. It was initially scheduled for 2012. The summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) will be held in January 2013. The Chilean minister for foreign affairs, Alfredo Moreno, who was speaking in Santiago de Chile on Monday 9 January, suggested holding the summit between Latin America and the European Union, to be organised in Chile, during January also, shortly before, AFP reports. Deferral of the two summits to January 2013 would avoid any concertinaing with other international meetings such as the G20 summit in Mexico and the UN Rio+20 conference on sustainable development in Brazil.
