Rome condemns decision on uranium and will support sanctions

Brussels, 10/01/2012 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 10 January, Italy firmly condemned Iran's announcement that it would be enriching uranium at the new Fordo site, saying it was a great matter for concern, and stating it would support the adoption of tough, effective sanctions. Maurizio Massari, Italy's Foreign Minister, states in a press release that, unfortunately, Tehran seems to want to go in the opposite direction to that indicated in UN and IAEA resolutions.
